Background: Long Stroke is Brush Stroke and Calligraphy’s father and Pen Stroke’s Husband. He is an exuberant pony with a love of books and his passion led him to start a business selling books and bringing them to other ponies. After earning a fair amount of bits, Pen and his wife decided to move to Ponyville and open a new store there and bring their children along as well as their niece Cookie who was in charge of the cafe. He has generally a very cheery disposition and very supportive to his children. Long also adores his wife almost unconditionally but has a small pastime of driving her mad, either with being blissfully unaware of his wife’s concerns or making romantic passes at her when she’s busy. He loves to push her buttons since he finds her more attractive when she’s angry.

Occupation: Horseshoe Press Book Store Co-Owner & Accountant
Cutie Mark: Quill Pen and a Sheet of Paper
Background: While being Brush Stroke and Calligraphy’s mother, Penelope or Pen Stroke is the co-owner for the Horseshoe Press Bookstore. Born Penelope Press, she came from a fairly well-known unicorn family of writers, artists, and bankers with a fairly normal upbringing in Canterlot. In her later filly years, she came to meet Long Stroke, an earth pony attending her school. While they started out on the wrong hoof, the two became good friends and eventually fell in love, leading to getting married and starting their little family. To support their family, she and Long Stroke opened up the Horseshoe Press Bookstore. While having a passion for writing and books, she has a good head for numbers and does most of the accounting for the store. She also tends to a large portion of the business side of things for Horseshoe Press such as making adjustments to allow for the indoor cafe and allowing for franchising. After earning a fair amount of bits, Pen and her husband decided to move to Ponyville and open a new store there and bring their children along as well as their niece Cookie who was in charge of the cafe.
Character Notes:
-She adores her husband even when he can be a bit of a passionate goof and frustrate her but both bond over a love of books and other things

Here’s some more OCs for my MLP Fanon, this time taking a look at Brush Stroke and Calligraphy’s parents. These two were actually very influenced by my own parents, their relationship, and personalities. There’s some obvious liberties as my parents have very different jobs and don’t own a bookstore. Still, I’m pleased with how the two of them came out. Also on the cutie marks, I must mention that I used ’s quill resource to get the quill just right. Please enjoy these two.
